Over the next 6 weeks we will explore making and creating using a variety of art materials and techniques. We will explore 2D making (printing, painting, collage, drawing etc) and 3D making (clay, found materials, papier-mâché etc). Looking at artists work is key and will link into the skills and techniques we explore. All our workshops build upon the foundation skills and are inline with EYFS and KS1/2 art curriculum.
Each week you’ll be sent a ‘What we did at popbox’ sneek peek so your LA (Little Artist) can share what they did with their grown ups!
12-17yr
Over the next 6 weeks we will explore making and creating using a variety of art materials and techniques. We will explore 2D making; mark making, colour theory, observational studies from both primary and secondary resources (printing, painting, collage, mixed media, drawing etc) and 3D making; modelling, sculpture (clay, found materials, papier mâché, mixed media relief, mod roc etc). Looking at artists work is key and will link into the skills and techniques we explore. All our workshops build upon and develop inline with the KS3/4 curriculum.
If your child is currently developing coursework at GCSE/BTEC we will be happy to discuss their ideas and deliver appropriate support where possible. We do not assess (although if required we can provide feedback inline with ‘progress 8’ assessment) however we maintain a learning dialogue to encourage and support.

Home schoolers
Kids wishing to study and develop their art practice outside of the ‘School’ environment will have a space to explore their interests and have time to complete ideas and work facilitated by a pop pioneer.

At the ‘popbox makeshop’
due to COVID 19 popbox preschool can now only facilitate 6 bubbles (1 grown up per bubble). This allows for 1m social distancing. (Please arrive 5 mins before the start time to allow for hand washing).
1hour of paint, collage, clay the list is endless!
You and your little one can ‘play’ together exploring different techniques and materials each week under our guidance. A wonderful opportunity to share ideas and create a very special outcome for a space on your living room wall/Granny’s birthday present! (spaces are limited so please email to book your place)

After school ‘In-school’ Art Club
Popbox offers ‘in school’ afterschool art clubs. No travel just a lovely way for the kids to end their school day.
We are currently running 4 clubs afterschool in Southwark + Lewisham schools. If you think your school would be interested drop us a message here and we’ll get in touch.
Popbox inreach workshops
This is our residency for example if your school wants to run an arts week or art event we could help. We can come to your school or company and facilitate art workshops to fit the bill. We can bring all the materials and can lead workshops in any technique and for any theme. Remember we've been doing this for along time so we really do appreciate whats involved.

Holiday Art Club
Every school holiday we run art club. We offer part day + full day options
Our next holiday art club is running this Easter at the new Popbox Makeshop, Dulwich
2 or 5 hours of making for 5-12yr olds
10-12noon (£20) or 10-3pm (£40)

Popbox Outreach
popbox outreach are weekly art workshops that come to your organisation. We currently run outreach workshops in residential care homes for adults with learning disabilities in South East London. We come to you and bring all materials needed. We also cover all the tidying up! Get in touch if this interests you
